LGA1700 carried three generations of Intel CPUs and is today Intel's most thoroughly tested platform. Its distinguishing feature is the memory choice: some boards take DDR4 and others DDR5, which lets you carry existing modules into a newer build and cut the cost noticeably.
One practical caveat: no board supports both types at once. You choose the memory type when you buy the board, and changing it later means replacing the board.
